Purpose of Children’s Ministry at The Foundry Christian Church
We are committed to coming along side parents to assist them in laying a spiritual foundation in the lives of their children. We believe that God and parents, not churches, have the primary responsibility for the spiritual nurture of their children. All children’s ministry classes or other activities are meant to help parents in this awesome task. We strongly encourage parental involvement in the classroom and would like to assist them in their ‘adventure’ of parenting. Our curriculum is Bible-based and our goal is teaching that is intential, loving, age-appropriate and most importantly, Christ-centered.
The main goal of the Foundry’s children’s ministry is to build young saints to stand and live in an evil and corrupt world, to enable them to be lights in the darkness and to bring the hope of Jesus Christ to a hopeless world.
Therefore, we will strive to bring the Word of God to them in a living, breathing and understandable way.
We will enable Christian members of the Foundry body who are called to teach, to exercise their gift. We will establish worship, activities and curriculum that will bring the Word to life. We will sow the Word in the lives of the young so that they may hide the Word in their hearts that they might not sin against God.
